dataPipeline is a company built on the vision of bringing data analytics to small and medium businesses. As part of that vision, we aim to help businesses with the whole "pipeline" of data-related activities, including:

dataPipeline is a proudly Australian business, operating from the Ballarat region in Victoria. Incorporated in 2014 by Robert Layton, while the company is only new, but we are helping clients, building products, and making impact. We have helped and worked with more than 15 companies in this short time, and hope to increase our value to the community.

Robert Layton is the Director of dataPipeline, providing analysis, consultancy, research and development work to businesses in many sectors. Robert's strengths are in finding solutions to difficult problems, using data analytics and automation. In particular, he is an expert level Python and JavaScript programmer, as well as an expert in data analytics

With dozens of published academic papers and several high-profile clients using his software internally. His work has helped shape policy, fight cybercrime, and assist businesses of all sizes in incorporating data analytics solutions to their business problems.

Initially working in academia, Robert obtained his Ph.D. investigating performing data analytics on cybercrime data, developing new algorithms for text mining and authorship analysis. Robert maintains strong links to academia, where he supervises several Ph.D. and Masters students at Federation University Australia and has been a visiting scholar to other Universities. Robert was awarded Federation University Australia's Young Alumni of the year in 2014 and sat as the student member on the University of Ballarat council in 2009.

Matthew Deal is the Technology Innovation Officer at dataPipeline.

His role involves researching and testing new technologies, integrating those technologies into the existing workflows, and development of surveys and website material. With a background in tech support, including Windows and Linux administration, he is also in charge of sysops.

He is currently working towards a Diploma in Networking and a CCNA.

Matt has worked on a number of different websites, including learningtensorflow.com, the dataPipeline website, and many others. Finally, Matt provides tech support to clients in need, not only with dataPipeline's solutions, but also other computer systems they have, including Windows, Apple and Linux based computers, smartphones and tablets. Matt was a beta tester of the new Windows 10 platform, and constantly looks for new and improving technologies.
